Naked Hitler Show

TV bosses in Belgium have been slammed for an advert for a travel programme featuring a semi-naked Adolf Hitler.

The show's presenter Tomas de Soete was shown dressed only in pants and a swastika armband giving a Sieg Heil salute in front of a Nazi flag.

The ad, featuring a Belgian TV host caricatured as Hitler, appeared in print, reports the Daily Mail.

The Hitler picture appeared under the headline: "Discover the real Europe. Not the cliches."

National broadcaster VTR claims they were trying to expose 'travel cliches' within the tourist industry.

VTR finally withdrew the ad after being flooded with complaints.

"It's an outrage that Nazi symbolism can be used to make jokes. They completely missed the point," said one German viewer.
