Marriages after death are relatively common in rural China. A father and four others have been arrested in China for digging up the corpse of a teenage girl to serve as a “ghost bride” for the man’s son, who died in a car crash.
The girl recently poisoned herself after she had failed in the exam last year. The father paid $5,000 to the men who dug up the body for him.
In rural areas,after marriage ceremony is performed between the corpses, the bodies buried together.
