The Dhaka cinema version of the Indian bandit queen, Fulon (Phulan Devi in India), painted on both hood panels on a ricksha. The backboard picture is also movie material.
Painted seatback upholstery piece with two movie stars, on display in a ricksha supplies shop. Dhaka, 1982. Note the interesting bird framing figures on either side of the picture, a common and beautiful feature of ricksha panels in the early eighties.

This design of medallions with inserted figures, such as the roses shown here, but also peacocks and stars, usually surrounded by stars, flowers, and butterflies, were a major Dhaka hood design in the 1980's into the 90's.
