The most striking feature of this galaxy troupe is the impressive blue stream of material extending from the northern component.

This 'fountain' contains complexes of super star clusters, each one of which may contain dozens of individual young star clusters.

Bra Saved Detroit Woman

A 57-year-old Detroit woman avoided serious injury because of his bra.

The woman, who lives on the West side of Detroit, saw a group of men breaking into a neighbour's house on Tuesday morning. When the men saw her, one of them fired a shot at her.

The bullet struck the underwire on the woman's bra and that saved her from a more serious injury, police said.

The woman was not identified. She was sent to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.

"It did slow the bullet down," said Detroit police spokesman Phillip Cook. "She sustained injuries but they're not life threatening."

Police did not arrest the suspects. They fled away.

200-pound Wild Hog Attacked Woman

A 26-year-old woman was attacked by a pig in her back yard Monday afternoon. When she went outside to investigate, the 200-pound animal charged her, cutting the back of her left leg.

St. Petersburg fire & Rescuers were able to treat the woman for her injury at the scene. An animal control officer lassoed the hog and transported it to the Pinellas County Animal Control Office for rabies testing.

Most Text Message In A Month - 217,000

Nick Andes, 29, and Doug Klinger, 30,the two central Pennsylvania friends spent most of March in a text-messaging record attempt, exchanging a thumbs-flying total of 217,000. For one of the two, that meant an inches-thick itemized bill for $26,000.

They were relying on their unlimited text messaging plans to get them through the escapade, so Andes didn't expect such a big bill.

This is a new text message record. The previous largest monthly text message total: 182,000 sent in 2005 by Deepak Sharma in India.

During February test run Andes & Klinger send 6,000 or 7,000 messages on some days, prompting the March messaging marathon. "Most were either short phrases or one word, 'LOL' or 'Hello,' things like that, with tons and tons of repeats," said Andes, reached by phone.

Andes sent more than 140,000 messages, and Klinger sent more than 70,000 to end the month with a total of just over 217,000, he said.

April came as a relief to Andes' wife, Julie, who had found his phone tied up with texting when she tried to call him on lunch breaks.

"She was tired of it the first few days into it," Andes said.

100-year-old Woman Become The Oldest Competitor Bowling Congress Women's Championships

Emma Hendrickson of New Jersey has become the oldest competitor in the history of the United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships. She is now 100-year-old.

It is her 50th consecutive appearance in the tournament. The organizing committee gave her a pendant with her birthstone in recognition of her status as the tournament's oldest participant & 50th consecutive appearance too.

She celebrated her birthday less than a month ago. She said her teammates sometimes help her to line up because her eyesight has diminished over the years. She rolled a 115, 97 and 106 for a 318 series during team competition at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno this year.

Hendrickson broke the record of Ethel Brunnick of Santa Monica, California, who competed in 1987 at 99.

She has 27 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her husband and two children have passed away. She says her family supports her very much & also gives courage to compete in 2010 event in El Paso.

"I think it's what keeps her going," granddaughter Karen Mariani, 45, told the Reno Gazette-Journal. "It's something she did with her husband, with our mother."

New Jersey Town Will Be Called With A New Name?

West Paterson voters voted last November to change the Passaic County town's name to Woodland Park this year. The reason is that many signs haven't been updated with the new name of the small community just west of New York City.

But some supporters voted against the new name. They want West Paterson name.

Councilman Keith Kazmark says borough officials decided to gradually introduce new name to save money.

At least three other times residents rejected new names, including Garret Mountain in 2001.
