Gunther von Hagens, who describes himself as a plastinator, arranges human corpses in lifelike poses in his exhibitions. He shows the world that how body has attracted more criticism by showing two corpses 'making love'.

His latest project Cycle of Life, which has just opened in Berlin, has been condemned by MPs as indecent for portraying two dead bodies as if they were having sex.

A group of cross-party German MPs have called for the work to be withdrawn.

"Love and death are obvious topics for art but I find it quite disgusting to use them in this way," Social Democrat member Fritz Felegentreu told to a magazine.

Alice Strover, a Green party representative, said the installation was "over the top and should not be shown".

Von Hagens defended his piece. He tells that he is not intended to be sexually stimulating and the models gave their consent to the pose.

The scientist's technique, which involves removing body fluids and fat from corpses and replacing them with plastic resin, has made him a multi-millionaire.

Money For Toiletless Train

A German man received $270 compensation for the torture he endured for not being able to relieve himself for two hours.

The Frankfurt court made the German Railways pay the man $270 for not providing the man an adequate toilet.

The man walked for two hours throughout the packed train looking for a place to go to the bathroom. The toilets had all been locked because there was not water avaiable for flushing the toilets.

"The plaintiff had to torture himself with his urgent need for two hours because he could not find a free toilet," said the court.

The man finally got to use the one bathroom that was in working condition which was kept locked.

The man got access by another passenger having to pressure the ticket inspector.

Woman Sent to Morgue Alive

An elderly German woman was mistakenly sent the a city morgue only to die a few days later from the cold.

Police are now investigating the doctor who pronounced the 72-year-old dead before she was sent to the morgue.

The woman fell down in an old people's home and lost consciousness early last month.

The colour of her skin led the doctor to believe that she was dead.

Is Sleeping Good During Working?

A town in Germany has discovered that sleeping while at work has increased worker efficiency. The small town of Vechta which is situated southwest of Hamburg, have allowed the workers to take a nap for 20 minutes.

They can go home or doze off at work after lunch. "In the beginning employees were skeptical about the project, but then they were happier and they started working better." said town spokesman Frank Kaethler.

This project started because their was a lot of work that needed to be done and not enough employees, so they received a course from the local health insurance company on napping.

It has been found that 22% of the German population naps but the town of Vechta is the only one that has implemented the project.

German Restaurant Serves Insects

A restaurant in Germany has just started serving insects on its menu three days ago. Chef Lars Schebuble said he was bored with serving typical food and wanted to try something new.

"While I was away on holidays I saw that insects are eaten in many parts of the world,...and I thought, why not offer it in Germany too," he said.

There are items on the menu such as cockroach pasta, and sauteed maggots with green leaves that are available al Berlin's Soda restaurant.

Customers have tried the food and some say they would come back for more.

No one has yet complained of stomach problems.
